EYEBROW POST CARE

Please follow the instructions below to achieve the best results:

  • After your appointment, you will experience a little bit of plasma (clear liquid) coming from your brows. Gently blot the tattooed area throughout the day with a clean tissue to absorb the excess to prevent it from hardening.

  • 24 hours after your appointment, gently foam up a little bit of an antibacterial soap  (eg. Dial soap) to wash the area every morning and evening. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat it gently with a clean tissue. This will remove bacteria and dead skin.

  • After washing in the morning and evening, keep the tattooed area moisturized at all times until fully healed. Only use Vaseline with a clean cotton swab or clean fingers. Make sure you only apply just enough so it is barely noticeable. Over applying can suffocate your brows and delay healing.

  • Make sure you use a new container of vaseline to prevent infection.

  • Do not use any cleansing products that contain any acids or chemical exfoliants (glycolic, lactic, AHA, etc.)

  • Keep the area clean. Keep your hair away from the tattooed area. If you have bangs, part them to the side, bobby pin them up or have a head band handy. Do this for the first 10 days or until brows are fully healed.

  • The tattooed area will be itchy during the healing process. Please resist the urge to scratch or touch.

  • Do not get your brows wet and directly facing the shower. Keep it covered with a layer of Vaseline to create a barrier and wash separately in the sink. Limit your shower session to 5 to 10 minutes to avoid steam.

  • No sweating or exercising for the first 10 days.

  • Avoid use of sauna sessions, hot tubs and swimming until fully healed

  • Do not apply makeup on treated area for at least 10 days.

  • Do not apply any other product on the treated area aside from Vaseline.

  • For the side sleepers: Avoid sleeping on your side or your stomach until your brows are fully healed. This can cause premature peeling. Put a pillow under each shoulder while you sleep to prevent you from rolling over.

HEALING PROCESS AND WHAT TO EXPECT

Day 1-3:

There will be a bit a of redness and swelling as soon as the procedure is finished. Swelling and redness should subside within a day or two.

Your brows will be at its darkest the first few days. This is not permanent and will get 20 - 40% lighter depending on your skin type and how your skin heals and regenerates.

Day 4 - 8:

Your brows will start to flake off and scab. Don’t worry, this is all a part of the process. It will all flake naturally. Be sure not to pick or pull off any pieces as this may result in removal of pigment.

Your brows will be itchy during these next few days, please resist the urge to scratch. Continue with post care instructions.

Day 8 - 10:

At this time, your eyebrows may be either fully flaked off or close to that point. You may notice that your brows are a bit lighter than you expected right after the flaking process. The colour will become more apparent within the next few days.

Day 10 - 14:

By this time your eyebrows will be fully flaked off. When it comes to this time of the healing process, you may wash your face normally again.

Be sure to apply an SPF protection over the brows when you’re going to be outside.

If for any reason the pigment in some areas didn’t stick, we will touch it up during your touch up session in 5 to 8 weeks.

5 - 8 weeks after

It’s time to touch up your brows! This step is absolutely crucial to ensure that your brows are complete and that any patchy areas gets filled and to ensure the longevity of your new eyebrows. Please follow the same aftercare as your initial appointment.

Patience is key during the healing process ..
