FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it permanent?
No, all cosmetic tattoo procedures are all semi-permanent and only done on the superficial layer of the skin. This prevents any permanent scarring and/or damage to the skin.

Does it hurt?
A topical numbing agent is used to ensure the comfort of each client. Generally it shouldn't hurt after numbing. However there are a few factors that may cause the client to be more sensitive during the procedure including drinking caffeine or any energizing drinks prior to your service, time of the month and menopause.

How long is the procedure?
Timing of procedure varies per client.
Microblading - up to 2.5 hours
Shading Powder/Ombre - 2 to 3 hours
Combination Brows and Blade & Shade - up to 3.5 hours
Lip Blushing - 1.5 to 2 hours
Consultation and pre-draw time takes roughly around 30 minutes to an hour depending on each client. It is required that every client bring in a reference photo so that both you and your artist are on the same page of what you want your new brows to look like.

"I want to get my eyebrows done but i'm scared they will be too dark!"
This is a concern that many women have when it comes to considering getting their eyebrows done. The brows will be at its darkest and thickest at the beginning stages of the healing process. Please be patient as the pigment is absorbing into the skin. Once your brows are fully healed they will fade up to 40 to 60%. Majority of clients that ask to go lighter on their first appointment almost always ask to go darker for their touch up. This takes up a lot more time during your touch up and going over the whole brow just like the first appointment.

Shading Powder/Ombre
Great for all skin types. It is a bolder and more filled in look. Highly recommended for the ladies who don't want to fill in their eyebrows every day or drastically lessen the amount of time spent on filling their eyebrows in every morning. This technique is achieved using a manual tattoo device.

Combination brows

Great for all skin types. This technique is best for people who want a more natural head of brow while having bolder tail ends. This is achieved by microblading in the front with the blade and shading in the ends using the tattoo device. Another popular option (and less abrasive) is using a nano needle with the tattoo device and manually creating the hair strokes at the front of the brows brows instead of microblading.

Blade & Shade
Great for all skin types and for those who naturally have very thin & sparse brow hairs. This technique is a mixture of microblading all throughout the brows and shading to add more density.

Which technique would you recommend for me?
There are several brow techniques to choose from. It all depends on your own personal preference as well as considering the skin type of each individual client.

Microblading
Best suited for dry to normal skin types. This technique gives a more natural look to the brows as it replicates the appearance of brow hairs. This is achieved by making tiny incisions using a blade with multiple needles dipped in pigment only on the superficial layer of the skin. Going any deeper than this can result in scarring and damage to the skin. This technique is not recommended for oily or combination skin types as the pigment is less likely to hold and/or will not last more than 6 months. Microblading blends in the best with brows that already have natural flowing brow hairs.

What is the difference between powder and ombre?

Both are shading techniques which is achieved using a manual PMU device.
Powder - One solid colour throughout the whole brow. Powdery filled in effect.
Ombre - Ombre is the gradience of colour starting darker from the tail ends and getting lighter going up to the head of the brows.

What does the healing process look like?

Day 1-3:

There will be a bit a of redness and swelling as soon as the procedure is finished. Swelling and redness should subside within a day or two.

Your brows will be at its darkest the first few days. This is not permanent and will get 20 - 40% lighter depending on your skin type and how your skin heals and regenerates.

Day 4 - 8:

Your brows will start to flake off and scab. Don’t worry, this is all a part of the process. It will all flake naturally. Be sure not to pick or pull off any pieces as this may result in removal of pigment.

Your brows will be itchy during these next few days, please resist the urge to scratch. Continue with post care instructions.

Day 8 - 10:

At this time, your eyebrows may be either fully flaked off or close to that point. You may notice that your brows are a bit lighter than you expected right after the flaking process. The colour will become more apparent within the next few days.

Day 10 - 14:

By this time your eyebrows will be fully flaked off. When it comes to this time of the healing process, you may wash your face normally again.

Be sure to apply an SPF protection over the brows when you’re going to be outside.

If for any reason the pigment in some areas didn’t stick, we will touch it up during your touch up session in 5 to 8 weeks.

5 - 8 weeks after

It’s time to touch up your brows! This step is absolutely crucial to ensure that your brows are complete and that any patchy areas gets filled and to ensure the longevity of your new eyebrows. Please follow the same aftercare as your initial appointment.
